Family Fun!

This week has been CrAzY! The Breinholts are in town since Mallory's blessing was on Sunday so it's been fun doin stuff together. Yesterday was awesome! A group of us went to 6 flags which was really fun! I don't remember the last time I was there. Defintiely high school for sure. We rode the new Tony Hawk ride which was fun, but Titan and Mr. Freeze are still my favorites. The best part was that everyone is still in school and it was a Thursday so there really weren't that many people there. The longest we had to wait in line was about an hour for Mr. Freeze and the other rides only took around 15 minutes which was A-mazing! I felt bad cuz Jeremy got sick after the first roller coaster we rode which is definitely not what you want to happen when you spend all that money to get in there in the first place. JaeLyn was so great to go on the WAY fun rides with me...Jeremy and Kami have kind of weak stomachs and James wasn't really sure about all of them we wanted to go on so sometimes it was just the two of us. Good times!

Today we had girls day out after my dance classes which was awesome. We went and got pedicures and each of us had some kind of ghetto/hilarious experience. Meredith was getting out of the chair and kinda fell backwards and her butt dipped into the water *cracks up* The best part, was that when she went to sit to put her feet under the thing to dry them, I guess she decided to sit in two chairs because when I sat down next to her, my butt was all wet. Kind of a replay of yesterday after the roaring rapids ride at 6 flags!! haha. Anyway, my lady tried to cut off these things I have on my toes. They aren't warts but they aren't dead skin things either. haha. Sick I know, but still funny...it was way awesome cuz when she was massaging my legs she was like, "Do you work out a lot?" and I said yes and she told me that she thought I had really strong legs. Yeah baby! :) Anyway, JaeLyn's girl was getting picked on by everyone so she had this scowl on her face the whole time and was rubbing the heck out of her feet. lol. Kami's feet were all blistered and stuff from 6 flags so the lady took forever on her. No joke...she started first and finished last. Word of the wise: Have nasty feet when you go...you get longer massages. lol.

Okay, best part of my week right here...I got a new razor cuz my old one sucked and it came with this new kind of deoderant and it smells SOOOO good. haha. I absolutely love it. I get wiffs of it every now and then and its so WOW! lol...I have issues. :) Oh AND Puden got Kami and I hooked on this TV show, Chuck. It's seriously soooo good. I'm totally bummed that season 2 doesn't start til Fall. We watched the first season in 3 days and I just couldn't get enough. I highly recomend it to everyone! Kami has been sleeping over at my house too so we've had the fun sleepover late night talks n stuff every night. You can't beat that. We also got to hang out with Carolyn just like old times. Pretty sure we haven't done that for at least a couple of years. Love it!

My dance classes are going well. I totally love teaching! It's been interesting since I'm doing it in people's houses...having toys all around serves as quite the distraction but it's still been way fun! I'm so excited for the recital. Those are always some of the most fun nights!

...and some more gravy please!

May I say that the trip to Babes was GREAT?!?! There's nothing better than sitting at a table with all different kinds of chairs, while the jukebox is playing old time songs and eating so much homemade food that you could die! The theme for the night was easily spotted. Every time the waitress would come she would ask, "do y'all want some more mashed potatoes?" And everyone's immediate response was YES...and then my dad would chime in with, "and some more gravy please!" haha I thought it was hilarious that she never really caught on. She thought that we would ACTUALLY get full. We're Anderson's...we don't get full. :). And when we do, we just keep eating. Its a strange sickness, but I gotta say that it makes life that much better...until you eat so much that you just want to roll over and die. Good times.

Anyway, I got to see Carolyn today which was fun...she is one of my best friends from High School who, everyone used to say was my twin. Yayuh!! It was so fun to see her...I got to go running, shopping for my sister's birthday, I cleaned the bathroom (woo!) and not to mention spending the day at costco with the girls. Gotta love Costco during lunchtime! :) YEAH!

So, my brother and I were playing MarioKart wii today and after you play it for a while and beat some stuff, you get to play with your "mii" instead of one of the original nintendo characters. Naturally, we decided to play as ourselves right? Well, I'm sitting there making fun of my brother cuz his character makes retarded noises and then I look up (the race was over) and this is what I saw when I looked at my character...for those of you who have ever watched Friends (a personal favorite of my brother's and mine), their secret way of flipping people off is to bang their fists together twice and what do you think my character was doing? you guessed it...yeah...it was absolutely hilarious! My brother's character was raising the roof or something silly and mine was secretly flipping everyone off. haha. good times. we were cracking up. I think she was really supposed to be clapping, but because her hands are like these circly things, they looked like fists. lol. MarioKart just upped about 10 points in my book tonight.

Here's another weird thing that i was thinking about the other day...in the game rock, paper, scissors, who was the genius who decided that paper beats rock? There's no way...it's absurd. I had a friend that once said that whenever he plays, he always plays rock so if someone plays paper and they try to say that they won, he punches them with his already clenched fist and says, "oh, I'm sorry! i thought your paper would protect you!" hahaha. love it...i should start doing that. lol. Anyway, make it a great day or not, the choice is yours! XOXO

Tricky, tricky, tricky!

I would like to start out this entry with a well known movie quote in my family. It comes from an old Western movie starring John Wayne called "McLintock!" Its pretty awesome if anyone is ever bored and in need of something fun to watch! Anyway, the quote goes a little something like this..."Random servant guy: GW, what does the word unprepossessing mean? GW: I was called that once (insert name here). I looked it up in the dictionary. It's best you don't know what it means!" Well, me being the curious person that I can sometimes be, I decided that it was best that I do know what it means, so I looked it up. Now, this word actually happened to be in the dictionary, but you know what I've noticed in the past? The dictionary can be completely misleading...don't you hate it when you go to look up a word and it just says, "the act of being (fill in the word you originally were looking up)." BLAH...like we know what that means! I'm guessing that whoever wrote those entries was just trying to pull one on us, and you know what? it worked. So then, I have to go to other sources to find out what it means. Luckily, we have wonderful little things like google to help us out...but honestly. Who thought that was a good idea? Funny...but not the brightest thing ever.

Anyway, I'm done with my soap box. I just thought I would throw that question out there and see if anyone else has noticed that. Tomorrow is my Dad's birthday and since my sister's is coming up too, we're going out to dinner for both of them. I think we're gonna try to go to BABES which, may I say, YUM?!?! I'm so excited. I haven't been there in who knows how long! I'm gonna pull out my stretchy pants and brace myself for the meat sweats! I always tell myself that since the mashed potatoes, biscuits and cream corn are all you can eat, I'll just save my fried chicken for home and eat it later but it never happens. I at least have one piece and try to fight off the second one. It's totally worth it though. I feel sorry for places outside of Texas who don't know the glory of this restaurant.

Do you know who else I feel sorry for? Lactose Intolerant people. I think I would die if I had that problem. I was made quite aware of it this year as two of my roommates were pretty inflicted with this horrible trial. It made me look at my life and realize just how much I need milk. I go through at LEAST one gallon of milk a week, not to mention that if a day goes by when I don't eat ice cream...its a very sad day indeed. And one that usually doesn't happen too often. Those are my two most important food groups...milk and ice cream. Without either, I would not survive. haha. I think the Lord knows that it would be a trial that I wouldn't be able to have strength enough for. That's why I hope I never have it. lol. Although, I had to drink goats milk one time cuz I had kidney problems and I tell you what...that stuff was NASTY! Lucky for me, I have and older brother and sister whom I look up to immensely, so my mom made them drink it so that i would. *insert evil laughter here* Pretty sure that it still tasted disgusting, but it was a little be sweeter knowing i was taking them down with me! hahaha. That's what I like to think anyway...I was pretty little, so I dont think my brain worked that way just yet. Maybe...who knows! :) Anyway, I start my dance classes tomorrow for the little ones so I should probably be getting to bed so I'm not all loopy when I'm trying to teach them how to plie! Although, me showing them how to do it, and falling over does sound pretty funny.....:)

Adventures in Seattle and a Tribute to Michael

So, I went back to the land where I originally hail from...Seattle. It was my first time to be back in about 13 years so it was definitely a shock to see how everything has changed. I didn't really recognize much until we got to our neighborhood and then it all came flooding back. It was a lot of fun to walk around my old house and elementary school. I got to take pictures which was good...gotta lock in the memories!

The main reason that I was there was for my roommates wedding. Yup...this is number 5 for me...everyone keeps asking me if I'll have all 27 dresses soon. lol. I sure hope not! Woo...5 has been fun but I don't think I could handle 27! Anyway, it was a fun trip...not much sleep as you can imagine though. If we weren't driving at night, then I was laying awake with Laura talking to her until one of us fell asleep. Needless to say that I feel a lot better today after getting about 6 hours of sleep last night! WAHOO! :) Good times. I will admit though...this one was definitely the hardest wedding I've been at so far for me. They are usually hard anyway...knowing that another of my roommates or really close friends has bit the dust and I'm now one more roommate short of living with 18 year olds. haha. This one was different though...not only was it my last friend from Freshman year that I've lived with pretty much all of my college years, but it also means that I was the only one waiting in the waiting room at the temple with all the kids. Having to watch all of my friends walk past me to go into the temple was really hard for me. I know that it's pretty much all of the darn Provo culture that says, if you aren't married by 21, there is something wrong with you...and I couldn't be happier, but I can't deny that there have been many nights when I wish that things would change in that area for me. Not that I'm complaining or anything, I like where I am right now...I have a lot going for me. I get to be the RS president of my ward which I love, I have a great roommate who is coming back fall semester, I love my job and I'll be graduating in December. I have so many blessings and things to be grateful for, but at times like those, I can't say that I don't struggle a lot. I was doing alright until just about everywhere we went and were introduced to family and friends, it went a little something like this: "This is so-and-so and this is their husband (or wife)...repeat that a couple of times...and this is Tara...she's my old roommate. Now, I know it really doesn't sound that bad, but after spending the last two days with all married couples and smaller kids, it kinda wears on you when your heart already feels broken. Lucky for me, I have great, supportive friends who I couldn't be more grateful for.

When I got back, my friend Michael came over and gave me three of the most therapeutic hugs I think I've ever had! I just love this guy...he has got to be the sweetest guy I've ever met and probably one of the best things that has ever happened to me. He's so great to help me to feel better whenever I'm down. If any of you are familiar with facebook, as soon as I had changed my status to "single" after Trevor and I broke up, I think it was maybe a couple of hours before I got a text message, telling me everything would be alright and then he came over to talk things out...just a great guy! I freakin love you, Michael! Anyway, it was good...I hadn't seen him since February or something...maybe even January except to go to his baseball games n such. When he walked in, he gave me a huge hug and then said..."and one more big one for surviving this weekend!" I think one of the best things about him is that he totally gets where I'm coming from. He's had a LOT of similar experiences as I have...from family stuff, to marrying off roommates, to having roommates start dating people that you would've liked to date...yeah good times. hahaha. All in all, I couldn't ask for a better friend. XOXO

It is an also well known fact that I marry off at LEAST 2 roommates a year if not more. This year has been really good for me...I think my powers are slowly growing...not only did I marry off 3 roommates fall/winter, but we had two new roommates move in about 2 weeks ago and when I got back on Sunday, one of them told me that she got engaged on Friday. hahaha. I don't even need a full semester anymore! I love it. I told Michael that he'd better be careful...since my powers are growing, maybe it'll move out to my close friends! hahah its on guys...you'd better watch out. I'm feeling more powerful by the second! :) Anyway, my work day is almost up so I gotta get goin. I'll try posting pictures tomorrow! Love yall bad! XOXO

Do Dreams Come True?

Alright, so I had this sweet dream last night and it was too weird and funny to not write about. So, I guess there was some battle/war thing going on in SLC and some of the BYU wards were asked to fight and mine was one of them. Unfortunately, the only people who showed up in our "unit" was me, Bishop Shell, his wife, my friend Marcus and this other guy who I don't know...oh! and Patrick Dempsey. haha. That's the important part because he's hot. :) Anyway, we were at our little meeting spot, which I will refer to as the fortress from now on and before the fighting started, there was supposed to be some kind of huge blast or something that would've blown us away if we weren't strapped to something sturdy. Luckily, our fortress came equipped with these little vortex suction things that, if we could position ourselves just right, it would keep us stable. Kinda alien, but it was cool. Anyway, I was trying to do it and I couldn't, no matter what I did. So Marcus gets out of his and he's trying to show me how to do it, but it turns out that my body mass wasn't big enough so it was just throwing me all over the place. Kind of fun...I'm not gonna lie. Anyway, I find sister Shell because she's small too so I was gonna see how she did it and she was like oh yeah...I'm too little for that, you'll have to strap on the wall with me. So she pulls out these jump rope looking things to strap us onto the wall. So, after the blast, we have to gear up and head out to the battle front. So we are walking to our station and out of the corner of my eye, I see my friend Daniel laying on the ground. He's not hurt tho, so I go over to him to ask him why he's not fighting. He tries to stand up but wobbles all over the place and tells me he doesn't feel good. I proceed to call him a weeny and left him where he was. We get to our station and we're all lined up ready to fight and the enemy comes in and we start shooting them with these weeny guns that we have attached to our stomachs. It was kinda cool cuz then we could aim with our guts instead of our arms. lol. Anyway, they were like running right past us cuz the guns were dumb and didn't do anything. I lean over to my friend who I don't know (but I knew in the dream) and I was like WHAT? Why aren't they getting hurt? I can't have THAT bad of aim. And he was like, well, I dunno...just keep shooting. Maybe it will work. Just as he said that, this guy came around the corner with a huge thumb tack looking device that had poison in it or something and stabbed me with it in my lower back and my friend on his stomach. I yelled...I'VE BEEN GOT! and I proceeded to pull out the tack. I got all wobbly but I didn't let it lick me. :) We started going back to our fortress and I passed Daniel again so I decided to go grab him and get him out of the way. As I was talking to him, I somehow realized that he had been shooting up marijuana (what the??) and so I shoved him back down to the ground and was like HOW CAN YOU BE SHOOTING UP AT A TIME LIKE THIS! haha weird I know. Anyway, I get back to the fortress and declare that I'd been got and then I woke up. Oh, and all through the dream, Patrick Dempsey and I were falling in love. It was awesome. I think they should make a movie out of it and that we should use the same people as in my dream cuz well...he's good looking and yeah. Need I say more? haha The end! :)
