I would like to start out this entry with a well known movie quote in my family. It comes from an old Western movie starring John Wayne called "McLintock!" Its pretty awesome if anyone is ever bored and in need of something fun to watch! Anyway, the quote goes a little something like this..."Random servant guy: GW, what does the word unprepossessing mean? GW: I was called that once (insert name here). I looked it up in the dictionary. It's best you don't know what it means!" Well, me being the curious person that I can sometimes be, I decided that it was best that I do know what it means, so I looked it up. Now, this word actually happened to be in the dictionary, but you know what I've noticed in the past? The dictionary can be completely misleading...don't you hate it when you go to look up a word and it just says, "the act of being (fill in the word you originally were looking up)." BLAH...like we know what that means! I'm guessing that whoever wrote those entries was just trying to pull one on us, and you know what? it worked. So then, I have to go to other sources to find out what it means. Luckily, we have wonderful little things like google to help us out...but honestly. Who thought that was a good idea? Funny...but not the brightest thing ever.
Anyway, I'm done with my soap box. I just thought I would throw that question out there and see if anyone else has noticed that. Tomorrow is my Dad's birthday and since my sister's is coming up too, we're going out to dinner for both of them. I think we're gonna try to go to BABES which, may I say, YUM?!?! I'm so excited. I haven't been there in who knows how long! I'm gonna pull out my stretchy pants and brace myself for the meat sweats! I always tell myself that since the mashed potatoes, biscuits and cream corn are all you can eat, I'll just save my fried chicken for home and eat it later but it never happens. I at least have one piece and try to fight off the second one. It's totally worth it though. I feel sorry for places outside of Texas who don't know the glory of this restaurant.
Do you know who else I feel sorry for? Lactose Intolerant people. I think I would die if I had that problem. I was made quite aware of it this year as two of my roommates were pretty inflicted with this horrible trial. It made me look at my life and realize just how much I need milk. I go through at LEAST one gallon of milk a week, not to mention that if a day goes by when I don't eat ice cream...its a very sad day indeed. And one that usually doesn't happen too often. Those are my two most important food groups...milk and ice cream. Without either, I would not survive. haha. I think the Lord knows that it would be a trial that I wouldn't be able to have strength enough for. That's why I hope I never have it. lol. Although, I had to drink goats milk one time cuz I had kidney problems and I tell you what...that stuff was NASTY! Lucky for me, I have and older brother and sister whom I look up to immensely, so my mom made them drink it so that i would. *insert evil laughter here* Pretty sure that it still tasted disgusting, but it was a little be sweeter knowing i was taking them down with me! hahaha. That's what I like to think anyway...I was pretty little, so I dont think my brain worked that way just yet. Maybe...who knows! :) Anyway, I start my dance classes tomorrow for the little ones so I should probably be getting to bed so I'm not all loopy when I'm trying to teach them how to plie! Although, me showing them how to do it, and falling over does sound pretty funny.....:)

Adventures in Seattle and a Tribute to Michael
So, I went back to the land where I originally hail from...Seattle. It was my first time to be back in about 13 years so it was definitely a shock to see how everything has changed. I didn't really recognize much until we got to our neighborhood and then it all came flooding back. It was a lot of fun to walk around my old house and elementary school. I got to take pictures which was good...gotta lock in the memories!
The main reason that I was there was for my roommates wedding. Yup...this is number 5 for me...everyone keeps asking me if I'll have all 27 dresses soon. lol. I sure hope not! Woo...5 has been fun but I don't think I could handle 27! Anyway, it was a fun trip...not much sleep as you can imagine though. If we weren't driving at night, then I was laying awake with Laura talking to her until one of us fell asleep. Needless to say that I feel a lot better today after getting about 6 hours of sleep last night! WAHOO! :) Good times. I will admit though...this one was definitely the hardest wedding I've been at so far for me. They are usually hard anyway...knowing that another of my roommates or really close friends has bit the dust and I'm now one more roommate short of living with 18 year olds. haha. This one was different though...not only was it my last friend from Freshman year that I've lived with pretty much all of my college years, but it also means that I was the only one waiting in the waiting room at the temple with all the kids. Having to watch all of my friends walk past me to go into the temple was really hard for me. I know that it's pretty much all of the darn Provo culture that says, if you aren't married by 21, there is something wrong with you...and I couldn't be happier, but I can't deny that there have been many nights when I wish that things would change in that area for me. Not that I'm complaining or anything, I like where I am right now...I have a lot going for me. I get to be the RS president of my ward which I love, I have a great roommate who is coming back fall semester, I love my job and I'll be graduating in December. I have so many blessings and things to be grateful for, but at times like those, I can't say that I don't struggle a lot. I was doing alright until just about everywhere we went and were introduced to family and friends, it went a little something like this: "This is so-and-so and this is their husband (or wife)...repeat that a couple of times...and this is Tara...she's my old roommate. Now, I know it really doesn't sound that bad, but after spending the last two days with all married couples and smaller kids, it kinda wears on you when your heart already feels broken. Lucky for me, I have great, supportive friends who I couldn't be more grateful for.
When I got back, my friend Michael came over and gave me three of the most therapeutic hugs I think I've ever had! I just love this guy...he has got to be the sweetest guy I've ever met and probably one of the best things that has ever happened to me. He's so great to help me to feel better whenever I'm down. If any of you are familiar with facebook, as soon as I had changed my status to "single" after Trevor and I broke up, I think it was maybe a couple of hours before I got a text message, telling me everything would be alright and then he came over to talk things out...just a great guy! I freakin love you, Michael! Anyway, it was good...I hadn't seen him since February or something...maybe even January except to go to his baseball games n such. When he walked in, he gave me a huge hug and then said..."and one more big one for surviving this weekend!" I think one of the best things about him is that he totally gets where I'm coming from. He's had a LOT of similar experiences as I have...from family stuff, to marrying off roommates, to having roommates start dating people that you would've liked to date...yeah good times. hahaha. All in all, I couldn't ask for a better friend. XOXO
It is an also well known fact that I marry off at LEAST 2 roommates a year if not more. This year has been really good for me...I think my powers are slowly growing...not only did I marry off 3 roommates fall/winter, but we had two new roommates move in about 2 weeks ago and when I got back on Sunday, one of them told me that she got engaged on Friday. hahaha. I don't even need a full semester anymore! I love it. I told Michael that he'd better be careful...since my powers are growing, maybe it'll move out to my close friends! hahah its on guys...you'd better watch out. I'm feeling more powerful by the second! :) Anyway, my work day is almost up so I gotta get goin. I'll try posting pictures tomorrow! Love yall bad! XOXO

Do Dreams Come True?
Alright, so I had this sweet dream last night and it was too weird and funny to not write about. So, I guess there was some battle/war thing going on in SLC and some of the BYU wards were asked to fight and mine was one of them. Unfortunately, the only people who showed up in our "unit" was me, Bishop Shell, his wife, my friend Marcus and this other guy who I don't know...oh! and Patrick Dempsey. haha. That's the important part because he's hot. :) Anyway, we were at our little meeting spot, which I will refer to as the fortress from now on and before the fighting started, there was supposed to be some kind of huge blast or something that would've blown us away if we weren't strapped to something sturdy. Luckily, our fortress came equipped with these little vortex suction things that, if we could position ourselves just right, it would keep us stable. Kinda alien, but it was cool. Anyway, I was trying to do it and I couldn't, no matter what I did. So Marcus gets out of his and he's trying to show me how to do it, but it turns out that my body mass wasn't big enough so it was just throwing me all over the place. Kind of fun...I'm not gonna lie. Anyway, I find sister Shell because she's small too so I was gonna see how she did it and she was like oh yeah...I'm too little for that, you'll have to strap on the wall with me. So she pulls out these jump rope looking things to strap us onto the wall. So, after the blast, we have to gear up and head out to the battle front. So we are walking to our station and out of the corner of my eye, I see my friend Daniel laying on the ground. He's not hurt tho, so I go over to him to ask him why he's not fighting. He tries to stand up but wobbles all over the place and tells me he doesn't feel good. I proceed to call him a weeny and left him where he was. We get to our station and we're all lined up ready to fight and the enemy comes in and we start shooting them with these weeny guns that we have attached to our stomachs. It was kinda cool cuz then we could aim with our guts instead of our arms. lol. Anyway, they were like running right past us cuz the guns were dumb and didn't do anything. I lean over to my friend who I don't know (but I knew in the dream) and I was like WHAT? Why aren't they getting hurt? I can't have THAT bad of aim. And he was like, well, I dunno...just keep shooting. Maybe it will work. Just as he said that, this guy came around the corner with a huge thumb tack looking device that had poison in it or something and stabbed me with it in my lower back and my friend on his stomach. I yelled...I'VE BEEN GOT! and I proceeded to pull out the tack. I got all wobbly but I didn't let it lick me. :) We started going back to our fortress and I passed Daniel again so I decided to go grab him and get him out of the way. As I was talking to him, I somehow realized that he had been shooting up marijuana (what the??) and so I shoved him back down to the ground and was like HOW CAN YOU BE SHOOTING UP AT A TIME LIKE THIS! haha weird I know. Anyway, I get back to the fortress and declare that I'd been got and then I woke up. Oh, and all through the dream, Patrick Dempsey and I were falling in love. It was awesome. I think they should make a movie out of it and that we should use the same people as in my dream cuz well...he's good looking and yeah. Need I say more? haha The end! :)

Can we say, "Hi Monica!"
So, I had kind of a large-ish wake up call the other day. I am anal when it comes to organization. Not only that, but clutter makes me anxious. Unless of course, its organized clutter, in which case, I'm usually okay with it...sometimes...if it's mine. :) Okay, here's the story: My friend told me that he was planning to play the best prank on me and that he was excited to do it but that I would more than likely be really mad at him. I had no idea what could possibly be bad enough to make me really mad. I love prank wars, so in the spirit of fun, not a WHOLE lot could really do me in. He is also friends with my roommate who he talked to to see just how mad I would get. She assured him that I would get incredibly upset. What was the prank you ask? He was planning to sneak in to my apartment, when I wasn't there, and rearrange my DVDs out of order. Sad, but true, my friends. Sad, but true. The worst part is, is that I got excited thinking that I would get to rearrange them back the way they should be after he did it. Luckily, he never did. But, rest assured, I still rearranged them after I was done with finals anyway. I have a problem. haha. I can't tell you how relaxed I've been since Saturday...I've had the apartment to my self and it has been spotless clean all 4 days. It's been so great and I'm so at peace. lol. Yup...I have issues. Everyone keeps saying things like, "oh man...you're there alone? Are you lonely?! Are you just about to go crazy?" And I'm sitting there thinking yeah, i miss living with people like crazy, but the place is so clean! haha. My worst fears have been realized. I'm more like Monica on FRIENDS than I would like to admit. I love to organize, I get in cleaning moods ALL the time, I pay my bills the day I get them in the mail and cooking makes me happy. Now all I need is a Chandler *melts* haha. Wouldn't that be nice? He's foxy! *laughs*
Today is supposed to get up to like 81ish or so, but get this. They said that tomorrow, it will be a high of 51 which a chance of snow! What in the world? I tell you what..>I think Utah is trying to depress me more and more. I get so happy at the thought that summer is finally here to stay and then they spring this on me! How am I supposed to get a tan to win my bet with Emily if it's snowing all the time?! I could always fake bake but...no. I did get a sunburn yesterday which made me happy, but it looks like today will be my last shot to even it out until who knows when. I hope the weather man was wrong. That would be sweet!
I have decided today that I want to learn how to sew...well, okay, I already know how to sew, but I want to learn to make clothes and not just pillows and blankets n stuff. It may come in handy someday, not to mention that I think my shoulders get broader by the minute. I'm kinda tired of having to buy shirts that are 1-2 sizes to big so that they fit my shoulders...blah. haha good times. They should have a forever 21-like store for broad people. That would be SWEET. I bought this "Crunchless Abs" workout DVD set the other day and i'm excited to use it to see if it works. I don't usually get to run anymore since I'm at work all day and by the time I get home, all I want to do is play so getting all nasty and sweaty probably isn't the best thing, so I figured I wouldn't get as nasty with an ab workout. We'll see...maybe i will. haha. Anyway, I'm out...there's an episode of the office with my name all over it! Latas! XOXO

Twick
YAY my finals are DONE! I was kind of going crazy yesterday though. I finished the two I had left and was home by noon and I didn't have to go in to work yesterday so I had the rest of the day to kill. I'm so used to constantly going all the time, up until I hit the sack, that I wasn't sure what to do with myself. I just kind of sat in my room for a while, watching my roommate pack. haha. She looked at me and was like...you really don't know how to have spare time do you? lol not really....I guess between all my classes, work, and my calling, I've always had more than enough to do and not enough hours to do them in. She always laughs at me because even if we are leaving somewhere in like 5 minutes, I still hop on my computer to do a little genealogy analysis or something. Good times.
So what did I do with my day yesterday, you ask? Well, I'll tell you...
It all started with me walking home from campus after finishing my last final. I was so excited that I was finally done that I forgot that I drove up to campus. Too bad I didn't realize that until I was about 2 minutes away from my apartment. Luckily, it was a nice day yesterday, so the 20 minute walk back home really wasn't all that bad. It was good that I left my car up there though because it motivated me to go run! So, I went for my usual run and then looped around to pick up my car and then drove home. Once I got home, I planned on taking a nap (I haven't been sleeping well lately cuz my RLS has been acting up for some reason) but just as I was walking upstairs, Laura turns on FRIENDS and well...I couldn't turn that down. So I watched a couple of those episodes and then went to Michaels to pick up some craft stuff that I need for later. This is when I got home and watched Laura pack for like 10 minutes but then she quit, so I was lost. haha. I went downstairs to see what Emily was doing and she was watching Remember the Titans so I joined in for the last little bit of that, watched some more TV, made some dinner, which was then followed by more TV, Mario Kart, TV and then going over to play wii tennis at this guys apartment in our ward. I don't think I have ever watched so much TV in my life. It was the most relaxing, lazy day I've ever had. haha. I hope I don't have any more of those though. I get off work at 11 today so I've saved some things that I thought of doing yesterday for today so I don't go crazy.
I made up a new word yesterday while we were playing wii....Twick. I'm not sure what it means. Right now, emily and I are just using it in whatever context we think best until we can come up with an official meaning. If anyone has some suggestions, they are welcome. Anyway, I hope yall have a great day! XOXO

Blast off!
Today is FINALLY the last day of classes. WAHOO! I love days like these...knowing that I can say that by this time next week, I'll either be completely done or maybe have 1 or 2 finals left. This also means that I'll only have one more semester left, but more importantly, I get to go home and see my new niece! I got to talk to them on Skype the other day and so I actually got to "see" her which was fun! She's so beautiful! I can't wait! Not to mention that mom wants me to help her find things for their new living room...like floor lamps, coffee tables, etc. Good times! :)
I boxed up all of my winter clothes yesterday...it felt pretty good, although, I looked at the weather forecast for the next 10 days, and two of which said "flurries" on the description..1) I think I cursed it and 2) WHAT THE? It's the middle of April..."flurries" should be something we're all wishing for because it's so hot outside. BLAH. My roommates and I sat out on the grass on Sunday, meaning to take naps and work on religion homework, but you can probably guess that that definitely didn't happen! We kind of attracted a large crowd and then just ended up playing for like 2 hours. haha. good times. You really can't beat it though! Which is why I'm so bummed that I may have to dig back into my winter clothes selections. I probably wont tho. I'll protest and just wear lots of layers and jackets. :) Although, packing up all of my winter clothes made me realize something horrible...I've been in Utah for so long that at least 3/4 of my wardrobe is winter clothes. Talk about wake up call. I need to get out of here soon. I need to get back to the place where there are 2 seasons...summer and the two weeks of not summer around Christmas time. Sometimes we refer to those 2 weeks as "Fall," but I really think that's just because everyone there has heard of it and they've never seen it so they're just assuming that that's what it is. :)
So, these last couple of weeks at work have been GREAT. We haven't had hardly anything to do, so I'll sit and work on my reviews and watch The Office online. I've almost made it through season 2 and I've finished 1 and 4...I feel kind of bad that I'm getting paid to do my homework and watch TV, but it is kinda fun! I'm sure it wont last long so, I should definitely enjoy it while I still can. Anyway, I'm gonna head out and keep doing nothing, so I'll catch yall later! XOXO

Winding Down
The end is near! I only have 1 week of classes left (after tomorrow) and then finals and I'm OUTTA HERE. It's been really sad this year compared to other years. Laura is getting married and she's my last friend from Freshman year that I've been living with so next year will be kinda weird since all of my closest friends from 4 years ago are all going to be married now and doing their thing. Last year was rough cuz Zaz and Jen both bit the dust, but I think this year will be more weird just cuz the last of em is gone ya know? It'll be alright tho...I've got Em and we're going to party it up. We're definitely gonna miss Laura, Jen and Melissa tho. Definitely glad I've got Emily though...otherwise I don't know what I'd do next year! It's been kinda fun because for two weekends in about the last month or so, it has really just be me and Em fending for ourselves cuz Melissa and Laura have been gone most of the time with their fiances and Jen goes to her sister's house some weekends, so we spend the entire weekend together...which is good. It's good to know that we can stand each other for 72 hours in a row and still not get even close to being sick of each other. haha. We always laugh at ourselves cuz if there's some down time where we really don't know what we're doing yet and I'm in my room and she's in hers, its only like 5 minutes before someone caves in and goes into the other's room to see what they are doing and the other person is like good...cuz I was wondering what you were doing. haha. We're crazy but I love it! Those are some of my most favorite weekends...my Em and me weekends! They're even better when Jen is there too and its definitely a huge plus to have Laura and Shusha with us too...but those weekends are very hard to come by these days, you can imagine!
I've got all of my homework done for the rest of the semester except for reading two more articles. It feels soooo good! Normally, at this time, I'm frantically trying to get in my 50 hours for my genealogy projects, but since I dropped that major, I don't have to worry about it anymore, and it's GREAT. I signed up for classes last night too and can I tell you that my Fall semester is going to ROCK?! I'm taking intermediate tap dance and intermediate irish dance. I'll be taking beginning bowling with Jeremy (aka Pooh)...when I was at the Breinholts on Sunday for Conference, he and Jaelynn came over for some dinner and he was saying how he wanted to take bowling since he's graduating in December too and I was like OH ME TOO, so we're gonna take it together. I feel sorry for the people in our class...and for our instructor. haha. I'm also taking three "Family living classes" which will be a breeze. One of them is purely on the Proclamation to the family, another is about things we can do to incorporate the church in our homes so they can be a place of peace and another is about effectively managing your home or something...I don't really know, but everyone I've talked to said that all three of those were basically relief society lessons every week. haha. It's gonna be so great....school wont be stressful! haha. The only class that I think I'll have to do any work for will be my church history class. I'm taking it from Susan Easton Black and I"ve heard it is amazing! I'm so excited.
I can't wait for Wednesday! My new baby girl will be born! WAHOO! Someone else to spoil and play with all the time! I can't wait. If I have as much fun as I do with Sydney, can you imagine all the good times with TWO?! Syd is such a bundle of joy, you can never have a bad day when you're around her, so I can't even imagine how much better it will be with both of em! Even if I don't get to spend much time with Mallory this summer, depending on where I'm needed and whatnot, I'll at least get some quality Syd time which I'm definitely excited for. Nothing beats a good ol Sydney lovin and play time! I hope my being there will be more of a help than a bother for Ben and Meredith with a new baby, ya know? Meh...they'll tell me...right? hahaha. I'm working on Mallory's little wall hanging thing that I do for new babies n such so that's been a nice break. I'm workin on a little something to give to Mallory and syd too so I'm excited about that! OH and I FINALLY finished Zarah and Ashton's temple thing from their wedding last year. haha Happy 1 year anniversary! :) I have two more to do, so I need to get workin on those eventually! Anyway, I think Jen is going to teach me about Quicken for her finance class. I really think I should start using that or something...especially with all the money I'm spending for people's weddings and bridal showers and such...it would probably be good to keep track of that stuff! Anyway, hearty'all bad! XOXO
